Night and Day is a beautiful, haunting record. Released in 1982 on the Cherry Red Records. I never really took the time to listen to Everything But The Girl until I met my wife. They are one of her favourite bands. She knows all the words and stuff. I’ve grown to love them too. Side A is a cover of  the Cole Porter number Night and Day. Tracey Thorn’s distinctive voice and Ben Watt’s jazz/folk guitar meld together perfectly. Side B has Feeling Dizzy and On My Mind. It is Feeling Dizzy which stands out to me. Tracy Thorn and Ben Watt’s voices harmonising wonderfully. ‘You are all I need. Here I am.’ Indeed.
